Halloween has become big business for the pet costume industry because many pet owners choose to dress-up their pets for the holiday. Last year, an estimated 20 million pet owners purchased costumes for their animal companions.* An estimated $350 million was spent on those costumes, according to the National Retail Federation (NRF). A recent NRF poll showed that the most popular costumes were Pumpkin (#1) and Hot Dog (#2).+
